These livestock-focused four legged friends were originally classified as the working dog group unitl 1983.  They have a long history that dates back to the 1570's when dogs were first used to assist sheepherders with tasks.  They are highly intelligent dogs that can pick up on subtle hand signals or movements making them very attentive.
